Invisible Cities

CORRIDOR 2122 GALLERY, FRESNO CALIFORNIA

MAY 7- 24, 2015, Opening Reception May 7, 5- 8pm

Invisible Cities is a visual arts gathering of five international women artists who tell cultural and personal tales in response to a novel written by the postmodern fabulist: Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities (1972). The LUNA Art Collective, who formed independently in 2013 after exhibiting together as part of a Paris gallery collective, gives voice and geographic perspective to Calvino’s fantastical narrative from the subject-position of five women artists, each originating from various cities around the world. Included media are drawing, painting, collage, mixed-media, sculpture and assemblage.
